THE SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY OF THE GOOD LIFE
Convened by
Joe Forgas and Roy Baumeister
The conference seeks to bring together researchers who are
interested in understanding what social psychology can contribute to
our understanding of how the ‘good life’ should be lived, in the
broadest sense of this term.
Several substantive areas of social psychology are highly relevant
to this topic, including research on positive psychology,
self-processes, relationships, social attitudes, social motivation,
economic psychology, affective processes. self-control and work on
interpersonal behavior. As always the topic is broadly defined and
we are interested in contribution from a wide variety of theoretical
backgrounds. Our aim is to survey the latest developments in theory
and empirical research in this exciting and rapidly developing area.
